HONEY SYSTEM
Julie Kleom × Anna Scheidemann
Honey System is an ongoing artistic collaboration between Ukrainian jewelry artist Julie Kleom and conceptual artist Anna Scheidemann. The project explores themes of femininity, ecology, and the delicate balance between humans and nature.
In 2025, the artists present a new piece from the series — the ring “Sweet World”, unveiled at the international jewelry and gemstone exhibition GemGenève in Geneva as part of the exhibition Hidden Treasure, curated by the Strong and Precious Art Foundation.
Sweet World
The two-finger ring Sweet World translates the visual language of honey and honeycombs into a sculptural jewelry form. Inspired by the architecture of the beehive, the piece reflects the richness and complexity of floral honey through its geometric structure and luminous gemstones.
The stones used in the ring originate from Volyn Gems, the Ukrainian company that holds exclusive rights to mine gemstones from the historic Volodarsk-Volynskyi deposit. Their natural brilliance and warm color palette evoke droplets of golden honey and symbolize the harmony between nature, craftsmanship, and a feminine perspective.
The ring was handcrafted by a team of artisans over more than 40 hours, with each detail carefully refined. Beyond its aesthetic qualities, the piece carries a strong conceptual message — reflecting on sustainability, respect for nature, and our responsibility toward the ecosystems that sustain life.
“Salt has already been explored — it’s time for something sweet: honey and bees.”
— Julie Kleom
“We are creating a dialogue about a world that needs tenderness, just as bees need flowers.”
— Anna Scheidemann
Hidden Treasure — GemGenève 2025
The Honey System collection is presented within the exhibition Hidden Treasure, organized by the Strong and Precious Art Foundation, which supports Ukrainian jewelry artists and promotes their work internationally.
The foundation participates in GemGenève for the sixth time and celebrates its third anniversary this year. In collaboration with Volyn Gems, the exhibition highlights rare minerals and contemporary jewelry pieces that reflect the richness of Ukrainian culture and craftsmanship."
